BEWG holds the 2022 mid-year work conference 2022-06-29
On June 28, the 2022 mid-year work conference and the 3rd expansion meeting of the president’s office meeting of BEWG were held in Beijing. At the meeting, the business work of the Group in the first half of the year was summarized, and the work objectives and directions in the second half of the year were clarified to practically promote the effective implementation of various work tasks, and the handover ceremony of the rotating CEO was also held.
Xiongbin, assistant to the general manager of Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited, deputy secretary and executive director of the Party committee of Beijing Enterprises Group, secretary of the Party committee of BEWG, as well as senior executives of BEWG, main principals of all headquarters centers, regions and business divisions, and the representatives of some member enterprises attended the meeting. According to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, the meeting was held in the form of on-site + video.
Work summary
At the meeting, the business work in the first half of 2022 was comprehensively summarized, the annual major events, line achievements, external honors, etc. were mainly announced, an insight into the challenges and opportunities brought by the external situation was made, the problems and deficiencies of the internal environment were examined and analyzed, and four strategies were proposed, laying a solid foundation for high-quality development of the Group.
Shift handover
CEO Li Li explained the pilot mechanism of rotating CEO, and pointed out the significance of rotating CEO mechanism from four the aspects of organization, team, talent and culture. He proposed that the rotating CEO should lead the team to closely follow the pulse of the development stage of the enterprise, and keep the same pace with the enterprise, the same frequency with the time, and the same prosperity with the dream; the rotating CEO should also lead the team to reflect the characteristics of the development stage of the enterprise and gather the joint efforts for enterprise development.
In 2021, the Group implemented the rotating CEO mechanism to comprehensively improve the overall awareness of senior managers and the overall planning ability of the organization, cultivate future leading talents, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the Group.
The first rotating CEO Yu Liguo made a summary of the rotating work, reported on 1 group of indicators, 2 reforms, 3 tasks, as well as strategic consensus, integration, and 7 key tasks at the Group level in 2022 proposed during his term of office, found out the root causes of deficiencies, and made deep reflection to promote improvement. At the same time, he summarized and thought about the management work in combination with the practice of rotation, and proposed that managers should have both the features of decision-makers and the requirements of executives, anchor the goals and improve the stance to inject strong momentum into the Group.
At the handover ceremony of the rotating CEO, Yu Liguo returned the “key of mission” bearing the significance of responsibility and mission inheritance to president Zhou Min. The new rotating CEO Wang Zhupin took over the “key of mission” from Zhou Min and started the mission journey of the new term.
Wang Zhupin made an inaugural speech to review the duties and obligations of the rotation, and expressed her opinions about upholding the original intention, continuing reform and grasping implementation. She pointed out that in the future she will focus on the three core areas of strategic decomposition, deepening reform and consolidating the foundation, clarify the work objectives and business plans during her term of office, and systematically think about the current situation of the Group, asset-light mode, team combat effectiveness, etc. while undertaking the working system and annual key work of the first rotating CEO, so as to point out the direction of the Group’s future development.
The reform is in progress
Zhou Min reviewed and summarized the achievements of reform under the Group’s strategic objectives, and made deployment and arrangement for the next key work. He stressed that the strategic goal of the Group is the latest interpretation of the basic strategy of strategic implementation based on the “customer-sourced” and long-term value under the asset-light strategic choice, which is the key goal to be achieved during the transition period of the Group’s transformation and even for a longer period of time. “Customer-sourced and innovation-oriented” is not only the business purpose of the Group but also the underlying logic of future business and customer service. All departments and units shall think about “doing the right thing” and “doing things correctly” based on this. He clearly pointed out the underlying logic, central positioning, core functions and key outputs of the reform of all centers in 2022, and required that all departments and units shall pay close attention to the detailed implementation of the Group’s deployment, press and compact the responsibility chain, and ensure the implementation of the Group’s deployment with an upward spirit as well as in-depth and solid implementation measures.
Wishes to the future
Xiong Bin recognized the achievements of BEWG. He pointed out that the contents of this meeting are pragmatic, efficient and problem-orientated, fully reflecting the cultural atmosphere of seeking truth from facts of BEWG. In recent years, the results and achievements made by BEWG are vivid reflections of the process of self-reform and transformation. In the future, BEWG will unswervingly implement the new development concept, strengthen the Party building work in mixed ownership enterprises, improve the governance structure, and continue to deep plough the field of environmental protection. Meanwhile, BEWG will further strengthen the coordinated and integrated development of business with Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited and Beijing Enterprises Group, constantly expand the business scope, and complete various target work with quality and quantity being guaranteed.
Advance bravely and be diligent in action. For more than ten years, BEWG has advanced bravely and embarked on a BEWG-featured development path of the same frequency with the state and the same pace with the time. At present, changes in the world, times and history are unfolding in an unprecedented way. Century-old changes and the epidemic in the century are intertwined.
