BEWG is rated as Excellent Member Enterprise of Yangtze River Ecologic Protection Industry Alliance 2020-12-31
Recently, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress voted to pass the Yangtze River Protection Law of the People's Republic of China t, providing for the green development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, President XI Jinping has attached great importance to the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the strategic layout of the protection and development of the Yangtze River has become clearer.
On 30 December 2020, Three Gorges Group held the second council meeting of the Yangtze River Eco-Environmental Protection Industry Alliance and the second alliance member meeting to discuss countermeasures and suggestions for promoting the green development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and further promote the alliance to play a greater and better role in the protection of the Yangtze River.
At the meeting, Mr. ZHAO Feng, chairman of Changjiang Environmental Protection Group, made a report on the alliance's work, and general manager Mr. WANG Dianchang announced the list of outstanding alliance members in 2020. The general manager of the Three Gorges Group, Mr. WANG Lin, made a conclusion of the meeting, fully affirming the achievements of the alliance member enterprises, and expressed the hope that all member enterprises will continue to undertake the "Yangtze River Protection" initiative.
With practical and efficient investment, BEWG won the title of "Excellent Member Enterprise of the Yangtze River Eco-Environmental Protection Industry Alliance".
Over the two years, under the careful guidance of NDRC and other ministries/ commissions, with the positive drive of all executive member enterprises, with the joint efforts of entire member enterprises, the Yangtze River Eco-Environmental Protection Industry Alliance has gradually realized standardized operation, and achieved initial results in the role of a national-level cooperation platform for the protection of the Yangtze River, and positive progress has been made in the protection of the Yangtze River.
In 2020, BEWG adhered to long-term valueism, actively participated in the research on Yangtze River protection, and jointly studied the "sustainable investment and financing model" with the Yangtze River Eco-Environmental Protection Group, and participated in the investigation on EOD (Ecology-Oriented Development) model; carried out Yueyang city center sewage system comprehensive governance PPP project phase 1 & phase 2, Wuhan Xinzhou District Xincheng Town construction PPP project, Liuyang city sewage treatment plant network integration PPP project, Nanjing Liuhe District rural sewage treatment facilities full coverage PPP project, taking the advantages of BEWG’s industrial technology top-level planning capabilities, perfect transaction structure planning capabilities and excellent project management capabilities, to provide solutions for the entire life cycle of the projects.
BEWG is the vice executive member of the Investment Operation and Maintenance Committee of the Yangtze River Eco-Environmental Industry Alliance. Mr. YANG Guang, senior vice president of BEWG, on behalf of the Investment Operation and Maintenance Committee, summarized the work of 2020 and proposed the next work plan.
Mr. YANG pointed out that the Investment Operation and Maintenance Committee as an important force of the alliance, fight against COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, while exploring the Yangtze River greater protection investment and OM model, where member enterprises fully exercises their top structure planning and performance OM service planning capabilities, participated in more than half of the foregoing projects, with satisfactory results and accumulating precious experience.
Yangtze River greater protection is an important strategy critical to national development on a whole, which is also a long-lasting undertaking. Next step, the Investment OM Committee will continue to exercise its water ecologic governance superstructure planning and technical solution capabilities, work closely with Eco-environmental Protection Group, intervene from the early stage of projects, play a greater role in key processes from project identification, packaging, risk control to performance examination and long-term OM scheme preparation, make in-depth research on sustainable revenue and risk allocation mechanism, build regular communication and project-specific communication mechanism, deeply investigate and solve the common problems in the course of investment, operation and maintenance, summarize and distil the experience and examples worth promoting and reproducing, fully improve the efficiency, quality of Yangtze River greater protection, provide professional services for such greater protection from the perspective of investment and OM, and make greater contributions to the clarification of Yangtze River water.
