    BEWG Limited and Yixing Municipal Government Signing the Contract on PPP Project of 6.7 Billion yuan Rural Pollution Control and Pipe Network 2017-10-20

    On October 20, 2017, Beijing Enterprises Water Group Limited (“BEWG”) and Yixing Municipal Government entered into the contract on PPP project of the rural sewage treatment and PPP project of urban-rural sewage pipe network and signed the strategic cooperation agreement. The following persons attended the contract signing ceremony: Shen Jian, Yixing municipal party secretary, Chen Haodong, deputy director-general of Jiangsu Municipal Department of Housing and Urban Rural Development, Zhang Lijun, mayor of Jiangsu City, Liu Yamin, director of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Mei Zhonghua, chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, He Xiaojin, executive vice mayor, Ma Zhong, deputy mayor, Qian Weixing, vice chairman of municipal committee of CPPCC & director general of Bureau of Public Utilities, Li Yongcheng, vice president of Beijing Enterprises Holdings Limited, deputy general manager and board chairman of BEWG, Jin Feng, secretary of the party committee of BEWG, Li Li, executive director and executive president of BEWG, Li Mugang, deputy director of Second Section of Secretariat of External Committee of Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited, Cui Jian, group vice-president of BEWG and Wang Jianli, chief inspector of construction etc.

    At the contract signing ceremony, Shen Jian, Yixing Municipal Party Secretary denoted that BEWG has built the close mutual trust and cooperative relationship with the government after years of effort in Yixing in recent years. BEWG joined hands with Yixing and conducted cooperation, showing the foresight and sagacity of the company management, and the firm confidence in environmental protection industry in Yixing. He expected that BEWG could implement the project with high quality and high efficiency, pay attention to long-term management, and try to build the project into the surveyor’s pole of ecological management. Yixing municipal government will perform the agreements carefully, spare no effort to support the development of BEWG and the cooperative enterprise in Yixing, and try to provide the optimal guarantee and service.

    Li Yongcheng, the vice president of Beijing Enterprises Holdings Limited, deputy general manager and board chairman of BEWG denoted that in the speech that Beijing Enterprises Holdings Limited and BEWG would fully exert the resource integration capability and professional ability as the leading enterprise, realize the joint effort and win win of “market side, government side, enterprise side, capital side, alliance side and scientific research side” based on the thoughts of “the channel, internet, intelligence, internationalization, capitalization and technical

    industrialization” and organic integration of the industry platform, enhance the industrial development and ecological construction of Yixing, and form the “Yixing mode” and promote it in the whole country.

    Th responsible persons and representatives of Bureau of Public Utilities, Development and Reform Commission, Commission of Economy and Information Technology and Bureau of Finance in Yixing City, Investment Center of BEWG and all cooperative units attended the contract signing ceremony.

    In the morning of the 20th day of the month, Li Yongcheng, the vice president of Beijing Enterprises Holdings Limited, deputy general manager and board chairman of BEWG attended the opening ceremony of Yixing Municipal Autumn Economy and Trade Fair and addressed a speech on behalf of BEWG. He denoted that Beijing Enterprises Holdings Limited will conduct all-round and multidimensional strategic cooperation in Yixing City, help with infrastructure and ecological construction in Yixing City and enhance the development of environmental protection industry.

    In recent years, BEWG and Yixing Municipal Government have conducted in-depth cooperation in ecological construction, photovoltaic industry and environmental protection equipment etc. 10 urban sewage treatment plants in Yixing City are run by BEWG in the mode of PPP. BEWG successfully signed the contract on PPP of rural pollution control and urban-rural sewage pipe network in Yixing and the total investment amount reached 6.7 billion yuan.This project is the largest distributed pollution control project and the pipe network asset project to vitalize the stock in the country, actually realizes the plant network integration and urban-rural integration of BEWG in Yixing, and provide the comprehensive full-industry chain service for terminal peasant household, pipe network and water works.

    Taking avail of the project as the cooperative opportunity, BEWG will maintain the all-round cooperation with Yixing Municipal government in water supply stock asset, environmental sanitation, comprehensive treatment of water environment and dredging of Taihu Lake etc. In the mode of PPP and equity cooperation, conduct the integrated water supply and discharge and integrated treatment of water environment area, and realize the whole commercial activity and ecological “Yixing Mode” of infrastructure service. At the same time, as Yixing is the strategical area of Taihu Lake Basin, signing of the contract for the project will help BEWG to make further arrangement for infrastructural and ecological construction in “Yangtze River Delta” region.
