Beijing Enterprises Water Group’s Seven Projects Selected in the Third Batch of National PPP Demonstration Project 2017-07-31
On October 11, 2016, the Ministry of Finance announced the third batch of demonstration projects list of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and the total investment amount of the listed projects is RMB 1170.8 billion yuan. As an industry leader and a leading professional water environment comprehensive service provider, Beijing Enterprises Water Group Limited (BEWG) has 7 projects selected in the third batch of the national PPP demonstration projects.
The demonstration projects list was selected and approved from the declared projects by the Ministry of Finance together with 19 ministries and commissions for the first time. Industries of the listed projects are far wider than the first two batches. The projects won or signed by BEWG include:
1. PPP project of the ring water treatment engineering in the central urban area of Chifeng City, Inner Monggol Autonomous Region The total investment amount of the project is about RMB 3.1 billion yuan. The watercourses to be treated include Xibo River, Yingjin River, Yinhe River and Banzhijian River and Xiaoxi Ditch and Haisu Ditch, with treated length of 40.8km (in which 33.0km is the watercourse to be treated and 7.8km is reconstructed watercourse). Completion of the project will effectively improve the watercourse landscape in the central urban area, increase taste of the landscape, strengthen the floor control level and ensure safety of the city. The project has been signed.
2. Water diversion supporting work for the South-to-north Water Diversion in Linqing, Liaocheng, Shandong Province With total investment of RMB471.5 million yuan and a covering area of 4455mu, the project includes construction of the reservoir, water diversion culvert and water inlet and outlet pumps station. The largest capacity of the reservoir is 2293m3 and the largest water supply capacity is 150,000 m3/day. After completion of the project, water from the Yellow River and Yangtze River will be supplied to industrial enterprises in Linqing, to improve the ecological environment in Linqing and promote its sustainable development. The project is now under construction.
3. Ground water plant project as supporting project for the South-to-north Water Diversion in Xingtai City, Hebei Province With a total investment about RMB 700 million yuan, the project adopts conventional and deep combined water purification treatment process. The designed treatment capacity is 350,000 tons/day, of which 150,000 tons/day is the treatment capacity of the first-stage project. The supporting pipeline network of the whole water plant is 103km. And the project is under construction.
4. Sewage plant project in Jiyuan, Henan Province .The total size of the project is 140,000 tons/day, 100,000 tons/day is the capacity of Jiyuan municipal sewage treatment plant and the rest is the capacity of the first stage project of Jiyuan 2nd Sewage Treatment. Jiyuan Municipal Government and BEWG will take the project as an opportunity to create a multilevel, wide-ranging and omni-directional exchange and cooperation bridge.
5. PPP cooperation project for urban water supply operation in Gongxian County, Sichuan Province
The project includes franchise of raw water operation in Piaoshuiyan Reservoir of Gongxian County and of operation of Ganquan Water Plant in Gongxian County. A cooperation agreement regarding the project was signed on December 17, 2015. The project now is in the implementation stage.
6. PPP project for urban water supply and drainage in Kaili City, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province
Successful signing and successive cooperation of the project will help Kaili Municipal Government and BEWG to realize the full integrated cooperation in the water environment field and become a model of the market-oriented reform and PPP operation in the water environment field in Guizhou.
7. Outsourcing PPP project in the sanitation marketization in Hejian City, Hebei Province
The project includes road cleaning and keeping, garbage collecting and dumping, public toilets cleaning and management, garbage transfer station operation and management and emergency security work. The landfill marketization includes marketization of the existing household garbage harmless landfill (the first landfill) and the market-oriented operation of the future second landfill. The project now is in the operation stage.
Partners of many projects in the third batch of the national PPP demonstration projects are not determined, so BEWG is closely matching up with clients’ demands and actively participating in the bidding and project services.
