    National Scientific Research Project "13th Five-Year Plan" Water Project Special Declaration, Good News for BEWG Water Environment Research Institute Rolled in. 2017-03-26

    On March 26, 2017, the declaration and corresponding oral defense for the projects and relevant subjects related to Beijing Subsidiary Administrative Center Quality Water Ecology Establishment Comprehensive Demonstration Project, with Tsinghua University as the leading applicant, a "13th Five-Year Plan" Water Project Special Declaration Project, was carried out. BEWG chief operating officer (CEO) Li Li participated in the oral defense for this project. After a 10-hour strict review by the expert team composed of nationwide famous experts and leaders from Beijing Municipal Water Affairs Bureau, the projects and sub-projects undertaken by BEWG Water Environment Research Institute and BEWG Technology Research and Development Center respectively were successfully accepted by the review team.   

    The project "Research and Demonstration of Key Technologies for Urban Landscape River Systems Connection and Typical Black-odor River Treatment in Northern Area" undertaken by BEWG Water Environment Research Institute was smoothly passed by the review team with high score. Mr. Yang Guang, vice president of BEWG, director of BEWG Water Environment Research Institute, and person in charge of this project, presented the oral defense statement in person. Mr. Li Jun, professor of Beijing University of Technology and person in charge of project technology, and Mr. Cao Jianhua, vice director of BEWG Water Environment Research Institute also attended the oral defense. Later on, the sub-projects 4 and 7 undertaken by our research institute and sub-project 6 involving participation by our research institute were all passed by the review team with high scores.   

    BEWG Water Environment Research Institute is mainly responsible for technology research and project demonstration for black-odor river treatment and water quality promotion, quality landscape building, quality water environment monitoring and warning, wet land operation and maintenance. A scientific research fund amounting to RMB￥27.9 million will be granted to us.

    Two days earlier, "Research on Key Technology of National Water Environment Monitoring and Watershed Big Data Platform Establishment", jointly applied by BEWG Water Environment Research Institute and Beijing Normal University, a "13th Five-Year Plan" Water Project Special Declaration Project was also passed by the review team. BEWG Water Environment Research Institute participated in two sub-projects, the construction and demonstration of water environment monitoring management platform. A scientific research fund amounting RMB￥3 million will be approved.

    Only four months after the establishment, BEWG Water Environment Research Institute had participated in national top level water treatment research projects, and have had deep cooperative relationship with the first class research teams, such as Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University, Beijing University of Technology,  Beijing Water Science and Technology Institute. This successful projects declaration helps BEWG Water Environment Research Institute to establish science and technology research foundation and team, and expands the development range in respect of national water environment treatment research and practice, and will further promote the position and influence of our research institute and BEWG in terms of black-odor water treatment and water environment comprehensive treatment, and will cement the leading position of BEWG in water service industry.
