    Luohe River System Comprehensive Treatment Demonstration Section Project Successfully Accepted. 2017-03-15

    On March 15, 2017, Luoyang Municipal Government authorized the Municipal Water Affairs Bureau, Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Municipal Planning Bureau, Municipal Gardening Bureau, Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information, Municipal Electric Power Bureau, Chanhe District Government, Laocheng District Government, Luolong District Government, Municipal Water Investment Group Company, and Municipal Water Conservancy and Hydropower Project Quality Supervision Station to form the acceptance team for Luohe River System Comprehensive Treatment Demonstration Section Project (the Project). The overall project was smoothly accepted by the acceptance commission based on the previous acceptance of 16 sub-projects, independent engineering projects and contracting projects.

    Highly Appraised by Acceptance Team, Excellent Achievement Coming from High Quality

    At 9 o'clock in the morning, Mr. Wu Yubo, general manger of Beijing Enterprises (Luoyang) Water Environment Development Co., Ltd, together with the leading officers from partners, such as the Third Construction Co., Ltd. of CTCE Group, Nanjing Municipal Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., AGER International, China Northwest Architecture Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., accompanied the members of the Acceptance Team for onsite acceptance. The leaders and experts from the Acceptance Team carefully checked the critical nodes step by step, such as Empire Capital Square, Roselle Park, Chanhe Bridge, Luoyang Ferry, Nanshi Ferry, and unanimous positive comments are given.   

    After the acceptance, the Acceptance Team organized an acceptance meeting in the meeting room of project onsite headquarter. The companies participated in this project gave a detailed report on the project execution.

    The Acceptance Team spoke highly of this outstanding project, Luohe Demonstration Section Project. The engineering construction of the Luohe River System Comprehensive Treatment Demonstration Section Project is in accordance with specifications and standards, the engineering entity quality and visual inspection quality meet the design and specification requirements, the quality of materials used in this project is satisfactory, and all the test and inspection documents are complete. Therefore, all the members of Acceptance Team unanimously conclude that his project is satisfactory.

    This is a key project for Luoyang, and is of great significance to Luoyang's purpose of building "Water Ecological Civilization City" and "Historical and Cultural City". BEWG, as the enterprise for project organization and implementation, is fully responsible for the planning, design, investment, construction and management of the project. 

    BEWG design plan enables water to bring vitality to ancient capital Luoyang

    BEWG proposed a plan featuring "Vigorous Luoyang, Moisturized Ancient Capital", covering a five-dimensional water treatment philosophy: guarantee water safety, prevent water pollution, restore water ecology, establish water culture, and cultivate water industry, to remold the Luohe River based on the four characteristics for international waterfront. The first stage project is about the historical and cultural section of river in the Sui and Tang Dynasties Historic Preservation District, covering a 5.5km section of Luohe River and a 5.2km Chanhe River, approximately 2 million square meters of land area.   

    Luohe River Project features ecological treatment philosophy based on the status quo. The original vegetation system will be kept, and the relevant cost will be controlled. From dredging, flood prevention, pollution resource control, road construction, water ecology restoration, sponge facility & rain water utilization, landscape planting, beach and bridge construction, ancient pavilion, venue management, to lamp decoration, as well as intelligent tourism, this project involves many complicated professional systems and different departments. Construction is performed in old area of the city, with new and old construction projects overlapped, featuring difficult construction task and complicated coordination. Under the leadership of Municipal Government, with direction from Municipal Water Affairs Bureau, BEWG led more than 10 design or construction companies to accomplish this Luohe River Demonstration Section Project for trail running after 20 month's hard work through efficient, practical and professional management. This accomplishment not only has realized the ecological treatment and environment promotion in this historical and cultural section, but also restore the splendid look of Luoyang in Sui and Tang Dynasties to promote the city's value.      

    The media in Luoyang commended this project as "the finishing touch" of Ecological Luoyang. When you enter the Luohe River System Comprehensive Treatment Demonstration Section, you will see vivid pictures like pavilions, pagodas, trestle bridges, corridors, landscape.  It can be called a masterpiece of river treatment projects in our city.
