BEWG Undertakes Chifeng City Center Flood Control and Surrounding Water System Management PPP Project 2016-09-08
On September 8, 2016, the grand franchise agreement signing ceremony of Chifeng City Center Flood Control and Surrounding Water System Management PPP Project taken by BEWG was held in Chifeng Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau. Guo Yujiang, director of Chifeng Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau, Yao Xiangmin, deputy director of Municipal and Rural Construction Committee, Xie Dequan, vice-general manager of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei regional business division of BEWG, Yang Zhenshan, vice-general manager of the Construction Management Center as well as the relevant leaders from other units like China Railway No.3 Group Co., Ltd., PowerChina Construction Group Ltd., Nanjing Landscaping Economic Development Co., Ltd, Chifeng Water Conservancy Investment Co., Ltd attended the signing ceremony.
The estimated total investment of Chifeng City Center Flood Control and Surrounding Water System Management PPP Project is RMB 3.16 billion, and it is the first project invested by BEWG in the form of equity funds, and operated in PPP mode, with the construction period of 24months. The construction mainly involves flood control works, ecological landscape works and water source compensation works. The main rivers under the management of the project include Xibo River, Banzhijian River, Yinhe River, Yingjin River, Haisugou River and Xiaoxigou River in Chifeng City Center. The total river management length is 40.8 kilometers. The added new levee is 55.3kilometers, the total landscape management length is 39.5 kilometers, the new water surface area is 1.87 million square meters, and the green area is 8.64 million square meters. After the completion of the project, it will substantially enhance the flood control level and water system landscape of the four major rivers in Chifeng City Center and improves the people's living environment, having great significance to enhance the image of the local city and promote the sustainable development of society and economy.
The signing of Chifeng PPP Project, marks the breakthrough of BEWG in the strategic direction of industrial funds, and has important demonstration and reference significance for the water environment comprehensive management projects with large amount of investment and complex business situation that are invested in the form of funds in the environmental protection industry. Besides, it also marks BEWG has obtained the staged achievements in expanding BEWG Chifeng water market, which is conducive to promoting the smooth implementation of Sanzuodian Water Supply Project and Hongmiaozi Sewage Project of BEWG in Chifeng City.
